Khondabi said that she married Joey Scribner Howard, her best friend from high school who has a degree in mechanical engineering in the energy utility industry. Khondabi shared with us that Joey was a friend from her childhood before they started dating after she finished the high school. They met each other in Greenwood Christian School. Howard completed his studies at Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, but Khondabi and he stayed friends. They then started dating. Khondabi graduated from Emerald High School, graduating in 2007, and of the University of South Carolina where she earned a degree with broadcast journalism. She studied sports management and entertainment. Joey has a USC degree. Liam the dog is their sole pet. Khondabi stated that she as well as Joey are both foodies. In my early years, I conducted educational interviews which were broadcast in the news program of our school and I also was responsible for giving out the school's daily headlines. Khondabi said that she worked as a reporter for Augusta Georgia for about six years. After Augusta I worked anchoring WOWK at Charleston West Virginia and then Columbus Ohio.
